US recession ends as growth returns (transcript from ABC, Australia 30/10/2009)

'The US economy has climbed out of its worst recession since World War II but there is concern that this may only be a statistical recovery'.
In accordance to some economists US is starting to jump out of recession due to the dramatic growth of 3.5% GDP last month, on the other hand, improvement of sales on new home for first home buyer also put some momentum of optimism. figures on better car sales last month also giving hope for economi8c recovery.
However, I have different views prior studying details of past few months; based on following points:-
1. The unemployment rate of USA in September 2009 has been standing at 9.8% which is too high to be justified. This is contradictory because once you lost your job, you will be cautious to spend (even though one could rely on unemployment benefit). As a result, consumer will be dragging their feet to consume generously unless necessary, how could we expect our economy be stimulated without this main driver?
2. Per my observations, American's spending behaviour hasn't been changed for decades; i.e. they could spent $1 while earning $0.50 , in other words, these folks are using debts to cover their livelihood. By all means, debts will become higher and higher (e.g. the sub-prime mortgage disaster). I am highly skeptical they could end up with economic growth in case such condition persists.
3. In my opinion, dramatic improvement of economic condition during past few months in the States is mainly due to US$787 billion rescue package handed down by the government earlier. Nevertheless, when these funds dried up, the situation will be winding back to where they are; circumstances will be deteriorating deeper into recession!
To summarize my point, US government should resuffle their strategy and try to find out correct remedy as to save the recession not only for themselves as well as for the entire world.

Taiwan crisis before 2012

The main reason for me to write this piece of essay because I strongly sensed that Taiwan will be annexed by china in the very near future!
One could hardly imagine that dramatic impact Taiwan has to burden by the time we are under china's rulership; I could envisage that we will be having a remorseful moment for those who chose KMT as our government in 2008, but that would be too late by now!
In my personal opinion, chinese people is not considered to be sensible ethnic group; they are intimidate but also arrogance, due to the fact that with 4000 years of civilizations/cultures on "confucism" and "imperialism", it had already implanted into every chinese's mind.
Unfortunately, Taiwan has been governed by KMT for over 6 decades, majority of us has been educated to be chinese instead of Taiwanese, we have been taught with so called "confucism" and it is hard to get rid of such thought out of our head.
Without strong sense of self-determination and independence thought; it is hardly for one to justify right from wrong on whatever issue KMT put up to us.
We must reflect deeply on what is real value of human; what is the meaning of living our lifes in this world? What is our goal/achievement in our life? What are we after? Is fortune the only thing we want? When one day you own the world but after all, lost your own value of life, so what is life mean to you?
KMT has misled Taiwanese to chase for "wealth" whatever it takes as to make us contented materialistically, but spiritually just like an empty shell!
Athe moment, Taiwanese seems riding on a Merry-Go-Round and cannot jump out of such phenomenon which is highly risky to Taiwan. Our situation is becoming more and more volatile because KMT knows where our Achilles' heel are, so if we could re-think on what I have pointed out above, you will know that I am not at all exaggerating about our critical position nowadays!
May I reiterate that if our circumstances still persisit without any drastic changes in due course and continue abducted by KMT's philosophy endlessly; without replenishing on my theory, Taiwan will be confronted with Catastrophe in one to two years time. May God bless Taiwan!

North Korea food shortage 'desperate' (transcript from BBC 23/10/2009)

'A UN rights expert says the food situation in North Korea is desperate, with aid from the World Food Programme reaching only one-third of the hungry.'
If you could read this article, you will noticed how inhuman North Korea are; regardless of devastation caused by her dictatorship, citizen are suffering a critical famine/starvation, not to mention about the human rights of female (they did not take into account!)
Kim Jong-il would not care less about the life and death of their citizen so long as he could grap power tightly in his own interest. Personally, I am sympathize North Korean people who has been living in extreme poverty, however, without any helping hand extended from international society, I can boldly speculate that hundreds of thousands lives will be sacrificed in due course.
According to World Food Programme's (UN) report, only one-third of the North Korean people could get aid from them, and the rest of two-third are still desperately waiting to get out of hunger!
In the long run, human being should reflect seriously about food shortage not only for the sake of North Korea but to the entire world in the foreseeable future. (As world population been trespassing supplies of food in the next decades which one can't ignored.)

Science to 'stop' age clock at 50" (transcript from BBC 19/10/2009)

'Centenarians with the bodies of 50-year-olds will one day be a realistic possibility, say scientists.'
I remembered when I was a boy (about 50 years ago), there were a report stating that human being's life could be prolonged due to dramatic improvement on the medical technique!
Prior reading above article, it has proved that we could envisage our next generation be living up to 100 without any problem.
Scientists are reaearching to use animal/human being donor's tissue to proceed with transplant instead of artificial organ. As a result, the problem of rejection could be tackled.
Such method could enhance the patient by developing their own organ and said to be successfully making the heart valve functioning normally in Brazil. I reckoned that few decades alter, all human being's organs including our "brain" could also be transplanted and which is the breakthrough of our life expectancy...

China and Russia cement economic and diplomatic ties (transcript from Deutsche Welle 14/10/2009)

'Russia and China have realigned their trade and diplomatic ties, and Vladimir Putin's visit to Beijing shows that, despite lingering doubts and distrust, the two sides have more to gain than lose from mutual cooperation'
This is a very good piece of article which gives us a comprehensive analysis about the relationship between two nations. I fully agreed with the writer that Russia and China still have a lot of differences from the point of secessionism (disputes in the 1960's on the skirmishes along the border), religious extremism etc.
However, due to GFC (global financial crisis), Russia is being hard hit and suffering from the recession as China represents 10% of her annual trade which makes the decifit growing bigger and bigger!
As a result, in order to tackle the financial problem in the very near future, Russia has to work hard and inclined towards China.
On the other hand, China knows well that their secret weapon is "Money", so they will try to utilize their economic power as to extend her influence to the entire world, besides China is the 2nd largest resources consuming nation in the world which forced her to hunt for natural resources whatever it takes!
To summarize my views; China is very aggressive/ambitious to dominate the world into 21st century and we must not despise upon China's capability/adequateness in the long run.

'Scary' climate message from past (transcript from BBC 12/10/2009)

'A new historical record of carbon dioxide levels suggests current political targets on climate may be "playing with fire", scientists say'
Let us take a look at this report; it has verified that carbon emission has been closely connected to climate change which one cannot repudiate. Now is the right time for all countries to save our PLANET.
Everyone must obliged to do whatever they can by reducing greenhouse gases, we must not be so negligence to such scenario as sooner or later human beings will be bearing the brunt.
Kindly read this article/report carefully and you will be horrified by those figures revealed.

Kabul blast outside India Embassy (transcript from BBC 08/10/2009)

'At least seven people have been killed and more than 60 injured in a large explosion in the afghan capital, Kabul'
After reading this news, all I can say is; USA will have a long way to go before they could withdraw their troops from Afghanistan. As President Obama reiterated previously that his strategy in Afghan will not be changed. In other words, he wsnts to hold firm against the Taliban and take full control of the region in the interest of USA. Nevertheless, as we all probably know that Taliban has been closely connected to Al-Qaeda. In my opinion, so long as Bin Laden stand at their banck, Taliban could hardly be eliminated in the foreseeable future. Kindly forward your comment/opinion/views if any, thanks.

North Korea 'to return to talk' (transcript from BBC 06/10/2009)

Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao has paid a 3 days visit to Pyongyang, North Korea the day before yesterday. In accordance to China's saying; it is to mark the 60th anniversary of diplomatic ties between 2 countries.
Nevertheless, I have different views on this visit by China; if you recalled sometime ago, North Korea abducted 2 Asian American journalist and sentenced them for 12 years hard labour in jail, but at the end of the day former President Bill clinton visited North Korea whom Kim Jong Il has pardoned these journalist and released them free to return home!
As we may awared, China has been a long standing comrade with North Korea whom sustained strong bilateral relationship economically/militarily for 60 years. When we looked at the release of 2 American journalists last month, I could speculate that North Korea is trying to cling to USA instead of China in the future.
From Wen's visit this week, I strongly believed that China's objective is to strengthen ties with North Korea and control/manipulate Pyongyang without letting her to embrace USA.
On the other hand, Kim Jong Il knows very well that he cannot be dominated by China without his own direction; whats why North Korea trying hard to reconcile with Western power (USA etc.) in the foreseeable future.
We have to watch very closely about the 6 party talk whether or not to be resumed in due course! Your views/comments/opinion is most welcomed.

China needs more authenticity to successfully woo the world (transcript from Deutsche Welle 01/10/2009)

In response to this article from DW, I wish to express my deep concern on China's ambitions to dominate the world! Due to the fact that Chinese ethnic group could hardly use common sense to justify; upon my observations, they are races who sustain strong sense of pre-eminence, arrogance, haughty, capricious, skeptical people, if one thought that China would be a threat to the world, then one must dig deep into the history of such country as a whole!
With few thousand years of Chinese culture and civilizations throughout countless battles/conflicts/genocides/massacres centuries after centuries, years after years, only one thing disseminated into their mind; i.e. "imperialsm"! We have to bear in mind that China spent billions of dollars setting up international television stations, confucius institutes around the globe, their ultimate objective/goals is; educate/brainwash people around the world to believe in their philosophy of "confuciusm", the core value of such theory is to teach/ask people to obey, loyal, compassionate to Superior/parent/nations; never betray your country (patriotism) etc. My apology if I didn't interpret in a more comprehensive way as it is a very long story. On the whole, China is intending to manipulate/rule our planet in the long run as to visualized their "authoritarian regime". Kindly give me your views/comments/opinions if any, thank you!
